Fintry Paula Laico

“Zelda” is a 15.1 HH 2012 AQHA mare that is 5 panel N/N. Zelda is another big bodied mare that we have purchased from Don Woitte. She has had two colts for us, both of which had lots of bone and a good hip. Zelda is confirmed in foal to Driftincountrymusic for a March / April 2019 foal

Zelda’s pedigree consists of 6.05% Joe Hancock blood, Her sire Fintry Cibecue Blue was by Fintry Drift Hancock who has been the foundation sire for Fintry Quarter horses for over 20 years and Don feels like he is the best stud he ever owned. His foals are the proof of that as Fintry Drift Hancock has one his papers Grey Badger II, Buck Hancock by Joe Hancock, Ruby Hancock, Cibecue Roan who is both 25% Driftwood and Joe Hancock (Roan Prairies sire), Toms Rosewood who is 25% Driftwood and 12.5% Joe Hancock, and Deer Light who traces to Three Bars and Joe Hancock. Fintry Cibecue Blue was out of Lizzie Ann who had the likes of Brush Mount, Little Roan Hancock (a grandson of Joe Hancock) and Tidy M (by Grey Badger II). Zelda’s dam Tia Lee Hancock was a very consistent producer of quality foals and she had the likes of Laico Bar, Robin Reed and Leo Bar all on her papers.

This will be the first foal off Driftincountrymusic and we are excited to see what is produced!

2019 Foal # 13

Sire – Driftincountrymusic AQHA Grullo EE/aa/Dd (homozygous black), 14.2 HH, 5 panel N/N

Dam – Fintry Paula Laico 2012 AQHA Gray 15.1 HH. 5 panel N/N,

The foal will be 5 panel clean through parentage. Fintry Paula Laico has had two colts for us and this will be the first one from this cross!  The resulting foal will have a strong ranch / cow influence on the top and thoroughbred on the bottom, so I would expect a foal that can hunt a cow and turn and burn in the arena.
