Fintry Miss Mandrift
“Ying” is a 14.3 HH AQHA mare that carries one copy of Gbed but is clean on the other 4. Ying is the second of the first two mare’s we had bought from Don Woitte back in 2012. Ying has had 3 foals for us a filly and 2 colts. Her foals always have lots of bone and a good strong build to them! Ying is one of three sisters we have in our broodmare band all out of Janae Drift. Ying is a three quarter sister two the other two as her sire Fintry Cibecue Blue is by Fintry Drift Hancock.
Ying’s pedigree contains 13.67% Driftwood, 6.64% Joe Hancock, and 3.13% King blood. Her sire Fintry Cibecue Blue was by Fintry Drift Hancock who has been the foundation sire for Fintry Quarter horses for over 20 years and Don feels like he is the best stud he ever owned. His foals are the proof of that as Fintry Drift Hancock has one his papers Grey Badger II, Buck Hancock by Joe Hancock, Ruby Hancock, Cibecue Roan who is both 25% Driftwood and Joe Hancock (Roan Prairies sire), Toms Rosewood who is 25% Driftwood and 12.5% Joe Hancock, and Deer Light who traces to Three Bars and Joe Hancock. Fintry Cibecue Blue was out of Lizzie Ann who had the likes of Brush Mount, Little Roan Hancock (a grandson of Joe Hancock) and Tidy M (by Grey Badger II). Ying’s dam Janae Drift’s pedigree is second to none with Driftwood showing up in her pedigree 9 times in total with it appearing 5 times within the first 5 generations! Janae carries 24.22% Driftwood blood, 43.75 % of which is Orphan Drift. Janae also carries 21.88% Poco Speedy, 5.47% King blood and 4.3% Joe Hancock blood.
Ying is a strong producer that we will breed to either stud moving forward as we feel she will cross extremely well either way! She is currently confirmed in foal to Soulman Hudson Wood for a 2019 March / April foal.

The dam carries 13.68% Driftwood blood. The resulting foal will carry 16.22% Driftwood blood. Fintry Miss Mandrift has had three previous foals for us and this will be the third from this cross. We also have Fintry Miss Mandrifts dam and 3 sisters in our broodmare band. Her foals have both been quick learners and good to handle. Her foals have a lot of foundation breeding in them and are built to work with lots of bone, big hips and depth to their bodies.
