FINTRY LIZZIE ANN –

"Zayda” is a 15.0 HH 2012 AQHA Blue Roan mare that is 5 panel N/N.  Zayda was purchased from Don Woitte as well and has been a fixture in our riding pen since we started her in 2016. We used her around them farm, as a trail horse, cattle sorted, she was rode in the mountains, we used her at gymkhana’s and she was an awesome mare to ride in the arena.  Unfortunately her riding career has come to an end due to an injury, so she will start being a momma earlier then we had planned.  We purchased her sire Fintry Cibecue Blue first, then we purchased her and one other so we could start riding some of his foals, and we liked her so much we had even added her Dam to the broodmare band for her final few productive years!

Zayda has had a wicked Smoky Blue Roan colt in 2021 and an equally as nice cremello filly in 2022.

Zayda’s pedigree contains 11.2% Hancock, 3.1% Driftwood, and 2.9% King blood. Her sire Fintry Cibecue Blue was by Fintry Drift Hancock who has on his papers Grey Badger II, Buck Hancock by Joe Hancock, Ruby Hancock, Cibecue Roan who is both 25% Driftwood and Joe Hancock (Roan Prairies sire), Toms Rosewood who is 25% Driftwood and 12.5% Joe Hancock, and Deer Light who traces to Three Bars and Joe Hancock. Fintry Cibecue Blue was out of Lizzie Ann who had the likes of Brush Mount, Little Roan Hancock (a grandson of Joe Hancock) and Tidy M (by Grey Badger II). Zayda’s Dam Silee Reed was a big powerful Palomino mare that produced big athletic foals she carried 14 % Blue Valentine blood her pedigree traces to many legendary Quarter Horses (King, Doc Bar, Leo, Sugar Bars, Joe Hancock to name a few). We are disappointed that we won’t be riding her anymore but are extremely pleased to see the foal she will raise.
